Traditions
As the University of Georgia Associate chapter, we proudly celebrate our chapter traditions, including the meaningful rings from the new member educator at reveal, jerseys from bigs during installs, and the display of line name boards at reveal, all of which create lasting memories and a strong sense of sisterhood.
These rings symbolize the unbreakable bond between line sisters, serving as a lasting reminder of their connection and shared journey. We chose pinky rings as a tribute to the tradition among engineers, who receive their rings as a mark of dedication and hard work—values that also define our sisterhood. Additionally, when sisters sign, they proudly display their pinkies, strengthening the sense of camaraderie and deepening the lifelong bond within their line.

One of our traditions takes place during installs, when newly crossed sisters receive their letters. The semester after they cross, sisters receive customized Greek jerseys from their big sisters. These jerseys are more than just apparel—they’re a symbol of sisterhood, personal growth, and the bond between lines. Each jersey is personalized with the sister’s class, line name, and line number, representing their unique journey and place within the sorority. This tradition not only honors the accomplishments of our newest sisters but also deepens the lifelong connections that define our sisterhood.
At Reveal, one of our unique traditions is when big sisters present their little sisters with handcrafted line name boards. These boards are beautifully customized with unique lettering, floral arrangements, and thoughtful details that showcase each sister’s line name. Not only does this tradition give the audience a special first glimpse of the new members’ line names, but it also provides the little sisters with a lasting keepsake. Many sisters proudly hang their boards on their walls as a reminder of their crossing, the bond with their line, and the love within our sisterhood.
